The Motivated Volunteer Empowerment Program (MOVE) is an innovative leadership training program which has empowered over 10,000 youth across Pakistan to take action and respond to needs in society.
The program involves youth ages 15 to 25 in Community Services by training them to design, fund and manage their own Social Action Projects. In the process they learn how to analyze community problems, brainstorm solutions, give presentations, create strategic plans, resolve conflicts in a team, raise funds, write reports, manage a budget, and more!
Impact
Over the past 10 years, the MOVE Program has trained over 10,000 youth who have implemented close to 1,500 Social Action Projects. These projects have reached over 200,000 beneficiaries across Pakistan and have provided valuable services in fields such as:
Education: setting up libraries, teaching at underprivileged schools, providing art classes and other extra-curricular activities.
Health: providing sports activities, setting up heatstroke stands, organizing personal health and hygiene awareness campaigns.
Environment: planting trees, renovating public spaces, doing street cleanup
Advocacy and Awareness: organizing child labor awareness campaigns, anti-smoking and drug campaigns
Micro-enterprise: providing sewing machines to deserving women and promoting women’s cottage industries
Visitation: visiting orphanages, elderly homes and centers for people with disabilities to carry out enriching activities
Uplift: repairing and renovating public facilities like schools and hospitals
So far MOVE has reached Karachi, Lahore, Sukkur, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Quetta, Peshawar, Hyderabad and Tando Allayar (Rashidabad)
How to Join
We carry out the MOVE in partnership with schools, universities and other youth-focused organizations. If you represent such an organization we would be happy to meet and discuss how to implement the program for your youth. We are also available to conduct a free orientation for any young people who are considering joining the program.
If you are interested in the program or would like to meet to discuss your requirements, please write us at [email protected].
